By proceeding with this reservation, you acknowledge and agree to the following policies:

• Payment in full and acceptance of site policies are required to guarantee a reservation.
• Final guest count must be provided to Longue Vue no later than one week before the event to ensure adequate supplies.
• The troop must vacate the Education Center and Lath House at the end of the workshop. While you may visit our other gardens following your celebration, a rental extension fee of $100 will be assessed for clients who remain in the Education Center or Lath House more than 30 minutes after the event. 
• All reservations are nonrefundable. In the event of inclement weather, your event will be moved indoors. 
• One complimentary reschedule is included in the reservation. Subsequent reschedule requests are subject to a $25 administrative fee. All rescheduling requests must be made in writing to Neana Collins at education@longuevue.com.
• Please note that the cancellation and reschedule policy will not be amended based on weather, other than in the event of severe weather requiring the entire Longue Vue site to close, in which case a full refund or complimentary reschedule will be granted. In the event of rain or other inclement weather that does not require a site closure, Longue Vue will make interior space (the Education Center) available to your guests, at no additional charge. 
• Longue Vue is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Longue Vue House and Gardens adjoins a residential neighborhood; accordingly, all guests are required to adhere to the following:

• Noise must be kept to a reasonable minimum; amplified music is not allowed.
• All vehicles must be parked in areas designated by Longue Vue staff.
• Client and guests may not move garden furniture, cut or pick plants or flowers, or otherwise make changes to the Discovery Garden, Lath House, or Education Center, other than in direct collaboration and supervision of designated Longue Vue staff (the birthday host and/or children's programs manager). Any changes or damages to the gardens or facilities will result in a minimum damage fee of $100; such fee shall be based on visual documentation by Longue Vue.

If prior notice is not given or if your session has already been rescheduled once before, you will incur a charge of $50. With the Gardens Photography package, you may request an hour extension for $150 given at minimum 15 minutes notice. Extension requests are subject to availability and may be denied; no extensions will be granted that exceed normal operating hours (9:30AM – 5:00PM).

In the event of inclement weather, you may recover the amount of time that you could not shoot, given notice to the Gate House and that your recovered time does not exceed the initially scheduled length of your session nor continue past 5:00PM, i.e., if it rains for 20 minutes, you may shoot for 20 minutes past your scheduled time without penalty as long as you let the Gate House know you are doing so and you aren’t going over your time.  

You will incur a $50 charge for every 15 minutes of shooting past your scheduled time with the exceptions stated above.

Photographers will be required to provide a form of identification that will be left with the Gate House staff for the duration of the photoshoot in exchange for a photographer pass.

Are you curious about the spaces not on a typical house tour? Would you like to see a below grade basement in New Orleans? Then join us for a behind-the-scenes tour of the attic and basement of Longue Vue. The tour will include an abbreviated walk through of the main floors of the home and concentrate on those areas not available to regular tours. Participant numbers are limited so advanced registration is encouraged.

• Hosts may arrive up to one hour before the start of the event to set up and will have one hour after the event to clear all personal items.
• All reservations are nonrefundable. In the event of inclement weather, your event will be moved indoors. One complimentary reschedule is allowed, with 48 hours notice.
• The cancellation policy will not be amended based on weather, other than in the event of severe weather requiring the entire Longue Vue site to close, in which case a full refund will be granted.

About Your Reservation

Access to the site is non-exclusive; there may be other guests, staff, or other photography sessions around during your shoot. Longue Vue does not guarantee that all water features will be in operation nor that any particular flowers will be in bloom at the time of your session. Photography is not permitted inside the house.

Reservations are non-refundable, but you can reschedule them without penalty with 24-hour prior notice. If prior notice is not given or if your session has already been rescheduled once before, you will incur a charge of $50. You do not have to have a reschedule date upon giving notice, but you must do so within 26 weeks of your originally scheduled session. Reschedules are subject to availability and may be denied.

With the Gardens Photography package, you may request an hour extension for $150 given at minimum 15 minutes notice. Extension requests are subject to availability and may be denied; no extensions will be granted that exceed normal operating hours (9:30AM – 5:00PM).

In the event of inclement weather, you may recover the amount of time that you could not shoot, given notice to the Gate House and that your recovered time does not exceed the initially scheduled length of your session nor continue past 5:00PM, i.e., if it rains for 20 minutes, you may shoot for 20 minutes past your scheduled time without penalty as long as you let the Gate House know you are doing so and you aren’t going over your time.

You will incur a $50 charge for every 15 minutes of shooting past your scheduled time with the exceptions stated above.

Upon Arrival

When you arrive at Longue Vue, please adhere to all signage including the 5MPH speed limit posted and in effect throughout the property. Once in the Entrance Court, a Guide will greet you at your car, check you in, and direct you to the parking lot. If you have purchased the Special Occasion Package, a Guide will meet you in the parking lot to escort you to your dressing area.

Photographers will be required to provide a form of identification that will be left with the Gate House staff for the duration of the photoshoot in exchange for a photographer pass. 

Other Guidelines

Since Longue Vue is a popular photography venue, we do our best to ensure everyone who chooses our unique setting has the best possible experience.

Here is how you can help us do so as well:

• Follow all signage, including staff only and speed limit signs.
• Please refrain from smoking or vaping while on site.
• Discard all waste into recycling and garbage bins.
• Pets are not allowed on site, even if you leave them in your car.
• If you have not purchased the Special Occasions package, you will not have access to a changing space. Changing is not allowed in public bathrooms, parking lot, or pop-up tents.
• All photography packages allow for one photographer and up to six subjects/guests. If this does not fit your needs, please contact photography@longuevue.com for other options.
• Be courteous to other guests on site; do not block pathways or relaxing views for too long.
• Do not enter planting beds or mulched areas.
• Flowers in our gardens are for everyone to enjoy; do not pick them.
• Please keep to your time. You will incur a $50 charge for every 15 minutes past your allotted time.
• Other things that are not allowed on site include the following:
  • Large props or set items
  • Drones
  • Pinatas, confetti, glitter, or latex balloons
  • Amplified music

Ragtime Day NOLA is a celebration of ragtime music and dance in New Orleans, past and present. Join us for a short opera program followed by a dance orchestra in the Playhouse. You will be greeted with a complimentary glass of prosecco and there will be a cash bar for additional beverage purchases. You will also have an opportunity to briefly tour the house during intermission.

Tickets for Longue Vue admission, tours, programs, photography reservations, and events are non-refundable but can be transferred if requested in advance of your originally scheduled visit. All transfers are subject to an administrative fee. 

Enjoy a private section of the Portico Terrace, with table, seating for up to four people, flowers and a bottle of prosecco as a gift from Longue Vue. You will be "backstage" from the Twilight performance, with views overlooking the Portico Garden and surrounding grounds.  Musical performance takes place from 5:30PM-6:45PM.

Join us for a reading with Lady Livingston and her whimsical musical accompaniment!  Each child will receive a copy of the selected reading when available and while supplies last.  For unpublished books, a book on the theme of the reading will be distributed.
