This Jazz Fest Tuesday join Longue Vue in welcoming Fred Wesley and  his funky family and friends to celebrate the healing power of the whole food plant-based lifestyle. The hearty menu will feature red beans and rice, other favorites and desserts -- all fully compliant with the evidence-based diet prescribed to reverse obesity, heart disease and diabetes. The program will feature testimoinies and tips for using the power of whole plant foods to get off medications and alleviate suffering. Fred, the legendary JBs bandleader, was sick and facing forced retirement before his new lifestyle helped him drop 70 pounds, regain his health and reignite his touring schedule, which this year includes a hit at Jazz Fest on Thursday, April 30.
